이번 포럼은 청년들과 함께 청년센터의 역할과 운영 방향에 대한 다양한 의견을 나누기 위하여 의정부시가 주최하고 의정부시청년협의체 주관으로 진행했고, 주요 내용은 지역 청년센터의 운영 사례 및 청년센터에서의 청년 이야기를 다룬 주제발표로 구성되었으며, 유튜브 생중계를 통해 청년과 시민들이 참여하였으며, 청년이 바라는 센터의 바람직한 모습 등에 대해 청년을 대상으로 조사한 설문 내용을 담은 좌담회가 진행됐다고 했다.

한수완 교육청소년과장은 “청년센터 포럼을 통해 청년 당사자의 의견을 최대한 반영하여 자유롭고 활기찬 청년 공간을 만드는 데 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
