[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 25일 포천시는 포천시립중앙도서관 세미나실에서 ‘인문도시 포천의 비전과 활성화 방안’을 주제로 민선8기 4대 시정방향 중 하나인 ‘품격있는 인문도시’ 구현을 위한 열린혁신 세미나를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

세미나는 인문학 발전의 시사점을 얻기 위해 개최하며 백영현 포천시장, 포천시의회 서과석 의장 및 의원, 시민, 전문가, 공무원 등이 참여해 발전방안을 모색한다.

발제자 2인의 주제발표에 이은 지정토론자 4명의 토론 청중들과의 질의응답 순으로 진행할 예정이다.

발제자는 허훈 대진대지역발전연구소장과 최지연 수원시정연구원 연구위원이 각각 ‘포천시 인문도시 추진배경과 추진방법 및 전략의 모색’, ‘인문도시 12년 경험의 수원시 사례에서 얻는 교훈’ 등을 주제로 발표한다.

또한 지정토론자로 참여하는 경희대학교 후마니타스칼리지의 전호근 교수를 좌장으로, 송성숙 대진대학교 평생교육원 교수, 장성임 수원시 인문학팀장, 이희승 전 포천시의회 의원, 손세화 포천시의회 의원이 논의를 진행한다. 

백영현 포천시장은 “이번 세미나가 품격있는 인문도시 구현을 위한 마중물이 될 것으로 기대한다. 포천시의 독특한 인문학적 요소를 발굴하고 인문학의 저변 확대를 통해 시민의 삶의 가치가 존중받는 품격있는 인문도시 포천이 되길 바란다.”고 전했다.
