[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 27일 포천시농업기술센터는 신규농업인을 대상으로 추진한 ‘포천환경농업대학 신규농업인과’ 수료식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

신규농업인 과정은 기초 농업기술과 농촌 정착에 필요한 정보 습득을 위한 과정으로 지난 4월 교육을 시작해 총 21회, 100시간 과정으로 비대면과 대면을 병행하며 진행됐고, 귀농을 준비하는 신규농업인을 대상으로 다양한 농작물 재배 이론·실습, 농약 안전사용 방법, 농산물 인증제도 등을 교육했으며, 외부 강사를 초빙해 수료생 개인에게 구체적인 영농 컨설팅을 제공했다고 전했다.

교육에 참여한 한 신규농업인은 “이번 교육으로 영농 계획서를 작성하고 현재의 경영 규모와 구체적인 미래의 계획을 구상하며 경영 관리에 대해 지식을 쌓는 계기가 되었다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

포천시농업기술센터 관계자는 “교육을 통해 농업·농촌에 대한 이해도를 높이고 다양한 정보를 제공해 신규농업인들이 성공적으로 정착할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
