[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 18일 포천시농업기술센터는 반월아트홀 소극장에서 2021학년도 포천환경농업대학(원) 졸업식을 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

포천환경농업대학(원)은 미래농업 핵심 전문인력을 양성하고자 2005년 설립되어 지금까지 1,147명의 졸업생을 배출했고, 올해는 17기 대학 ‘6차산업과, 원예특작과’과 4기 대학원 ‘친환경농업과’ 과정에 총 65명이 대면·비대면 수업을 병행하는 등 100시간의 교육을 이수하며 졸업하게 됐다고 했다.

졸업식은 반월오페라단의 식전공연과 우수생 상장 시상, 졸업증서 수여, 포천환경농업대학장인 박윤국 시장과 환경농업대학 총동문회 이춘식 회장의 축사, 17기 졸업생 김영구 대표의 인사말, 학사 운영 동영상 상영 등 졸업을 축하하는 뜻깊은 자리를 가졌다고 했다.

박윤국 시장은 축사를 통해 “어려운 여건에서도 지난 8개월간 열의를 가지고 참여해주신 교육생들의 노고에 감사의 인사를 전한다.”라며 “우리 농업에 대한 자부심과 긍지를 가지고 포천 농업을 이끌어 가는 리더로서 역할을 할 수 있길 바란다.”라고 전했다.

한편, 포천환경농업대학(원)은 지난 3월 ‘2020년 전국 시군농업인대학 운영 평가 우수기관’에 선정된 바 있다고 밝혔다.
