[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 29일, 66사단 김원식 소령은 가평읍행정복지센터 맞춤형복지팀에 관내 저소득층 주민들을 위해 사용해 달라며 사랑의 이웃돕기 성금 100만원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 기탁된 성금은 경기사회복지 공동모금회를 통해 관내 저소득층 가구에 소중히 지원될 예정이며, 지난 3월에도 66사단 김원식 소령은 코로나19로 고생하는 의료진을 위하여 가평군 보건소에 생수(500ml) 1000병을 기증하여 지역사회에 훈훈함을 더했다고 전했다.

66사단 김원식 소령은 “직업 특성 상 여러 곳을 옮겨 다니며 근무하던 중 전입을 오게 된 가평은 첫아이의 임신과 출산으로 의미가 있는 지역이며, 큰돈은 아니지만 조금씩 실천하는 마음을 갖고 모아온 성금으로 지역사회에 보탬이 될 수 있어 기쁘다.” 며 기탁 소감을 밝혔고, “코로나19의 어려운 상황 속에서 이웃돕기의 온정을 통해 자녀에게 귀감이 되고, 군인임과 동시에 가평군민의 한 사람으로서 작은 나눔부터 꾸준히 실천하겠다.” 고 말했다.
