[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 21일, 의정부시는 양주축산업협동조합이 의정부시 이웃돕기 창구에 사랑의 성금 500만 원 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 시장실에서 진행된 성금 전달식은 정훈 조합장을 포함해 임직원 4명이 참석했다고 전했다.

의정부시 의정부동 소재 양주축산업협동조합은 2013년부터 매년 의정부시의 어려운 이웃들을 위해 성금을 기부하며 지역사회를 위한 나눔문화 확산에 앞장서고 있으며, 이날 전달받은 성금은 경기사회복지공동모금회에 기탁되어 의정부시 저소득층을 위한 사업에 쓰일 예정이라고 했다.

정훈 조합장은 “코로나19로 인해 어려운 시기를 보내고 있을 시민들에게 도움이 되길 바라는 마음으로 성금을 전달하게 됐다”고 말했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “매번 의정부시의 어려운 이웃들을 위해 성금을 기탁해 주셔서 감사드리며, 전달해주신 성금은 의정부시의 소외계층을 위해 소중히 사용하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
