이번 협약으로 양 기관의 상호협력을 통해 학생들이 전공과 연계한 자원봉사에 활발히 참여하여, 지역사회복지 발전에 큰 기여를 할 것으로 기대되고, 구체적 협약내용은 자원봉사 관련 기관 견학 및 활동연계, 자원봉사에 필요한 봉사프로그램 연구 및 개발, 자원봉사활동 지도·관리에 대한 정보의 상호교류, 학생의 자원봉사활동 및 현장실습 기회 제공, 학생 자원봉사활동 인증서 발급 및 1365 자원봉사포털 봉사시간 인정 등이라고 말했다.

강성종 신한대총장은 “학생들이 자원봉사를 통해 지역사회에 관심을 갖고, 전공을 살려 재능을 이웃사회에 기부할 수 있도록 장려하여, 실력과 인성을 겸비한 인재를 양성할 수 있도록, 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

최용덕 시장은 “이번 협약체결을 시작으로, 지역사회에 훌륭한 청년들이 폭넓게 활동할 수 있게 되고, 양 기관이 더욱 더 발전될 수 있는 디딤돌이 되길 기대한다”고 전했다.
