구체적 협약내용은 재난사고 예방을 위한 연구 개발 상호지원, 재난대비 자원봉사자·관리에 필요한 정보의 상호교류, 재난대비 관련 전문강사 지원 및 각종 재난관련 자격증 취득 지원 등이라고 했다.

고영신 대표이사는 “생명을 지키는 재난재해 대비와 안전교육에 대한 투자는 반드시 필요하다. 이번 상호협력을 통해 재난안전 전문인력 양성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

손덕환 센터장은 “늘어나는 자연재해와 코로나19와 같은 전염병 발생으로 생명과 안전에 대한 중요성이 어느 때보다 커지고 있다”며 “이번 협약으로 센터와 자원봉사자가 각종 재난사고에 보다 전문적인 역량을 발휘할 수 있는 계기가 되길 기대한다”고 전했다.
