[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 20일 의정부시 녹양동 새마을부녀회는 관내 취약계층에게 정성과 사랑이 담긴 도시락 나눔을 실천했다고 밝혔다.

이날 부녀회는 어려움을 겪고 있는 관내 어르신을 대상으로 불고기, 떡, 잡채, 전, 나물 등을 담은 정성이 가득한 사랑의 孝 도시락을 기부했다고 말했다. 

녹양동은 자생단체들의 협력으로 민관이 하나가 되어 복지사각지대에 있는 이웃들을 발굴하고 실질적인 도움을 주기 위해 지속적으로 노력하고 있다고 했다.

새마을부녀회 관계자는 “요즘과 같은 시기에 복지사각지대에 있는 이웃들에 대한 주변의 관심이 더욱더 필요하다고 느꼈으며 작은 정성이지만 우리 이웃들에게 따듯한 마음을 전하게 되어 기쁘다”고 말했다. 

녹양동주민센터 관계자는 “주변의 어려운 이웃을 위해 꾸준히 활동하고 지원해주시는 새마을부녀회에 깊은 감사를 드린다고 밝히고 앞으로도 민관이 협력하여 관내 이웃을 위한 나눔을 실천하도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
