[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5월 20일부터 21일까지 이틀간 양주시는 관내 도시가스 취약지역 보급사업 예정지를 순회하며 주민들을 대상으로 사업설명회를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

각 마을회관과 읍면동 행정복지센터 회의실에서 개최한 이번 설명회에는 올해 사업 대상지로 선정된 은현면 용암1리, 회천3동 청담마을, 백석읍 오산리, 양주2동 삼숭1통, 장흥면 울대2리, 양주1동 남방3통 먹적골 마을 이·통장과 주민, 양주시 관계자, ㈜대륜이엔에스 관계자 등이 참석했다고 했다.

설명회는 사업개요 안내를 시작으로 공급배관 설치계획, 도시가스 신청절차, 주민부담 비용, 향후 추진일정 등 사업 전반에 대한 설명과 질의응답 순으로 진행했다고 했다.

2021년 도시가스 보급 확대사업은 경제성 미달로 도시가스사업자의 의무적 공급지역에서 제외된 단독주택, 자연부락 등 도시가스 소외지역 주민들은 도시가스 공급요청에 따라 생활에너지 이용편의 증진과 에너지 복지 실현을 위해 추진한다고 했다.

양주시는 총사업비 19억원을 투입, 도시가스 공급배관 4,990m와 정압기 등 공급설비 설치공사를 오는 연말까지 완료할 목표로 진행하며 사업이 완료되면 도시가스 취약지역 140세대에 공급될 것으로 예상하고 있다고 전했다.
