[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 6일 직·공장새마을운동양주시협의회는 양주시장애인종합복지관과 효율적인 장애인 지원 및 협력체계를 구축하고자 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 협약식에는 김정희 양주시장애인종합복지관장, 김용춘 새마을운동양주시지회장, 오수영 직장ㆍ공장새마을운동양주시협의회장, 심남철 홍보이사 등이 참석했다고 전했다.

주요 협약 내용으로는 양주시에 거주하는 장애인 돌봄을 위한 협력적 관계 유지 및 각종 프로그램 지원, 그 밖에 양측이 상호 협의된 장애인복지 발전에 대한 전반적인 분야에 걸쳐 적극적으로 협력체계를 유지하기로 했다고 밝혔다.

오수영 회장은 “지난 추석 명절에 장애인종합복지관을 찾아 사과와 배, 포도 등 과일을 후원하면서 양주시 장애인분들에게 일시적 후원보다는 지속적이고 체계적인 지원이 필요하다고 생각되어 업무협약을 맺게 되었습니다”라고 말했다. 

김정희 양주시장애인종합복지관장은 “코로나19로 모두들 어려움을 겪고 있음에도 불구하고 직장ㆍ공장 새마을운동회 양주시협의회에서 지역 장애인분들을 위해 긴밀한 협력관계 유지와 적극적인 지원을 약속해 주셔서 감사드리며, 앞으로도 장애인 복지향상을 위해 최선을 다하는 복지관이 되겠습니다”라며 협약 소감을 밝혔다.
