[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 7월 9일 의정부시 송산3동 행정복지센터는 혹서기 폭염대비를 위한 여름 이불 25채와 선풍기 25대를 독거노인, 사례관리대상자 등 취약계층에게 전달했다고 밝혔다.

후원물품은 의정부 관내에 위치한 삼애교회에서 전달한 후원금(100만 원)과 라트어린이집에서 전달한 후원금(120만 원)등 총 220만 원으로 마련된 것으로, 송산노인복지관에 전달된 선풍기와 여름 이불은 독거노인생활지원사들행정복지센터 담당자가 대상자의 자택에 직접 전달했다고 했다.

이날 물품을 전달받은 한 대상자는 “코로나19와 폭염으로 외출이 점점 힘들어지고 건강도 나빠져 힘들었는데 주변의 따뜻한 관심 덕에 올해 여름을 이겨내는 데 큰 도움이 될 것 같다”고 말했다.

민형식 송산권역국장은 “이번 지원으로 코로나19와 폭염으로 이중고를 겪는 취약계층이 건강한 여름을 보내는 데 도움이 되길 바란다.”며 “취약계층이 필요로 하는 부분을 지속적으로 파악하고 복지사각지대를 줄여나가는데 최선을 다하겠다”하고 밝혔다.
