[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 5. 24(월) 한국전력공사 경기북부본부와 설악마을공동체는 설악면 미사리에 위치한 미원초등학교 장락분교 환경개선사업인 '무지개 등굣길 만들기' 자원봉사활동을 전개하였다고 밝혔다. 

시와 그림이 있는 '무지개 등굣길 만들기'는 설악지역마을공동체 회원의 재능기부와 한전 경기북부본부 전력관리처 직원등 39명의 자원봉사로 미원초등학교 장락분교의 노후화된 학교 외벽 및 담벼락, 동상 등을 산뜻하게 새로 도색하고 아이들이 창작한 동시와 벽화를 그려 넣어 밝고 감성적인 학교 환경을 조성함으로써 장락분교 재학생들의 즐거운 학교생활과 학습의욕을 고취시키는 것을 목적으로 추진되었다고 했다.

장락분교 14명의 재학생들은 “학교에 예쁜 그림을 그려주셔서 감사합니다” 등 감사의 메모장 모듬을 만들어 봉사단에 선물하였고, 설악마을공동체도 “매년 보여주신 한전의 설악면에 대한 관심과 지원에 감사하다”며 한전 경기북부본부에 감사패를 전달했다. 

이범주 설악면장은 “매년 꾸준히 이어온 한전의 지역사회 공헌활동이 밝은 설악면을 만드는데 많은 도움이 되고 있으며 한전과 설악면이 계속해서 상호 협조하며 상생해나가는 관계를 구축해 나갈 것이 기대된다”고 전했다.
