[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 18일 동두천시 소요동 행정복지센터는 마임봉사회에서 건강 취약계층 20가구를 방문하여, 새마을 영양죽과 생필품을 전달하고, 생활실태를 확인했다고 밝혔다.

마임봉사회는 평소 어려운 이웃을 돕기 위해 밑반찬 및 생필품 지원, 환경정화활동, 지역행사 지원 등 지역사회 발전을 위해 나눔과 봉사를 활발히 펼치고 있는 소요동의 협력단체로, 이날은 홀몸어르신, 중증장애인 등 총 20가구를 방문하여 새마을부녀회에서 만든 영양죽과 봉사회에서 직접 준비한 비누세트를 전달하며, 이웃들의 안부를 살폈다고 했다.  

마임봉사회 한은숙 회장은 “코로나19로 인한 사회적 거리두기로 외로움을 겪고 계신 분이 많으시다. 저희가 전달하는 음식을 드시고, 밝고 건강하게 지내셨으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.

이에 소요동 관계자는 “반찬 전달 봉사로 건강 취약계층의 안부를 살펴 주시고, 생필품까지 후원해주신 마임봉사회 한은숙 회장님과 회원분 모두에게 깊은 감사를 드리며, 앞으로도 적극적인 참여와 관심을 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
