[김현우 기자 = 가평] 농민의 안정적인 생업종사와 농업과 농촌의 공익적 가치에 대한 사회적 보상을 위해 가평군이 추진한 2022년 농민기본소득의 4분기분이 지난 15일부터 읍면별 순차적 지급됨에 따라 2022년 농민기본소득이 모두 지급됐다고 전했다.

가평군은 농민기본소득을 2022년 처음 도입했으며, 지급을 위해 2021년 11월 「가평군 농민기본소득 조례」를 제정하고 지난 3월~4월 신청을 받아 지급을 시작했다. 

신청 자격요건은 가평군에 주민등록을 두고 3년이상 연속 거주하거나 비연속 10년 이상 거주한 주민 중 실제 농업생산에 1년 이상 종사한 농민이다.

농민기본소득은 분기별 1인당 15만원씩, 연간 60만원이 지역화폐로 지급되었는데 올 한해 지급되는 인원은 7,350여명으로 총 지급 금액이 44억에 달한다. 

지역화폐인 가평사랑상품권은 관내 가맹점에만 사용이 가능하여 지역경제 활성화에 도움이 될것으로 보이며, 이번 4분기 지급된 15만원은 2023년 1월 31일까지 소진해야 하고 미사용한 금액은 자동 반납된다. 

한편, 서태원 군수는 현안보고를 받으면서 “열악한 환경에서도 생명산업인 농업을 유지 발전시키는 농민여러분의 노고에 감사하며, 농민기본소득과 같은 다양한 정책을 꾸준히 개발하고 시행하여 농민도 함께 잘사는 가평군으로 거듭나겠다”고 말했다.
