[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9일 김경호 도의원은 경기도농업기술원을 대상으로 열린 행정사무감사에서 예산 집행률 저조, 아쿠아포닉스 기술 보급 부진에 대한 문제를 지적했다고 전했다.

김 의원에 따르면 농업기술원의 사업 중 집행률이 50% 미만인 사업은 총 50개 사업, 평균 집행률은 30.4%, 집행 잔액은 51억원에 달하는 것으로 나타났다고 했다.

특히, 집행률이 저조한 이유로 코로나19라고 명시하였으나, 코로나 발생 후 이제 3년이 다 되어 가는데 아직도 코로나 핑계를 대는 것은 누구도 납득할 수 없다고 지적했다고 했다.

김 의원은 “농정해양위원회 위원님들의 노력으로 농정 예산 1조원 시대를 열었는데, 농업기술원은 이 예산을 대수롭지 않게 생각하고 있다”고 지적하며 “다음주부터 시작하는 예산 심의에서는 관성적으로 예산을 편성하지 말고, 불용액이 생기지 않도록 집행에 만전을 기해달라”고 당부했다.

이어서 물고기 양식과 수경재배의 합성어로 물고기와 농작물을 함께 길러 수확하는 새로운 방식의 농업이자 어업인 아쿠아포닉스 보급 부진에 관한 질의도 이어갔다고 했다.

김 의원은 “작년 시범사업을 통해 기술 보급한 2개 업체의 경우 월매출이 1,200만원을 넘으면서 사업성을 충분히 확보한 것으로 보인다”며 “아쿠아포닉스를 전략적으로 집중 육성하는 방안을 통해 농어업인의 소득 증대를 위해 힘써달라”고 당부했다.
