[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 민선 7기 말인 지난달 30일 발생된 절도 사건에 연루된 비위 공무원을 2명을 속초시는 8일자로 <직위해제>로 선 조치했다고 전했다. 

지난 7월 1일 출범한 민선 8기 속초시는 과거 민선 7기때 일어난 해수욕장 테마시설 업체 선정 건의 최근 압수수색과 공무원 절도사건으로 얼룩져 당혹감을 감추지 못하고 있다.

이에 속초시는 우선 대상 직원을 직위해제 선조치하고 흐트러진 공직기강 확립을 위해 가능한 모든 수단을 동원, 올바른 공직문화를 정립하고 조기에 시정 안정을 되찾을 수 있도록 최선를 다하겠다고 밝혔다.
