[김현우 기자 = 가평] 지난 3월 30일 오후 가평군 건축과에 대한 경기북부경찰청(반부패경제범죄수사대)의 압수수색이 진행됐다.

현재 관련 내용에 대해서는 정확하게 알려지지 않고 있으나, 가평군 관계자의 말에 따르면 지난 목요일 오후 압수수색이 진행된 것은 사실로 확인됐다. 

가평군 공보팀 관계자는 “지난주 목요일에 압수수색이 들어온 것만 알고 자세한 내용을 알 수가 없다”라고 말하며 내용에 대해서는 파악하지 못했다는 입장이다.

압수수색이 진행된 해당 부서 관계자도 “현재 조사 중인 상태이기 때문에 해당 사항에 대해 말씀드리기 어렵다”라며 즉답을 회피했다. 

이번 압수수색을 진행한 경기북부경찰청(반부패경제범죄수사대) 관계자는 “사건 내용 중 가평군청에서 발급한 서류가 제출되어 있어 해당 서류에 대한 진위 파악 목적으로 압수수색을 했다. 사건 내용은 아직 조사 진행 중이라 구체적으로 설명하기 어렵다”라며 말을 아꼈다.

한편, 가평군은 지난 2022년 10월 13일 ‘캠프통 허가 비리’ 의혹 관련해서 의정부지검 남양주지청에서 압수수색을 받았었다.

당시 사건으로 일부 전·현직 공무원들은 피의자로 현재 재판을 받고 있는 상황에서 이번 경기북부경찰청으로부터 압수수색을 받은 소식이 전해지자 가평군 내 민심은 술렁이고 있다.
