[김현우 기자 = 양주] 양주시는 지난 10일 의정부시 경기북부상공회의소에서 열린 ‘2023년 경기북부상공회의소 신년인사회’에 참석해 기업인들과 함께 상생·소통의 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.

이번 신년인사회에는 김동연 경기도지사, 강수현 시장을 비롯해 4개 시·군 단체장·국회의원·시의회 의장, 경기북부상공회의소 기업인 등 200여 명의 각계각층 인사가 참석했다.

행사는 국민의례를 시작으로 주요 내빈 신년사, 시루떡 절단식, 기념촬영 순으로 진행됐다.

강수현 시장은 신년사를 통해 “지속되는 글로벌 공급망의 위기와 원자재 가격 상승, 고물가·고금리 등 초유의 복합 경제위기를 극복하고 기업과 함께 도약하기 위해 적극적인 투자 유치와 규제 혁파에 박차를 가하려고 한다”고 강조했다.

이어 “경제침체로 인한 기업경영 위기 극복을 위해 시 차원에서 기업인의 경영활동을 적극 지원하겠다”며 “특히 기업과 관련된 인허가에 어려움을 느끼지 않도록 행정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 덧붙였다.

한편, 1974년 창립한 경기북부상공회의소는 양주·의정부·동두천·연천 등 4개 시·군 상공회를 관할하며 약 1,400여개 기업을 회원사로 두고 있는 경기북부 최대 경제인단체이다.
