[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시가 노후·위험시설의 사고 예방을 위해 2022년 디지털 기반 노후·위험시설 안전관리시스템 구축 사업을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 노후·위험시설에 IoT 센서 등 디지털 기술을 도입해 위험정보를 사전에 감지하고 예방하는 시스템을 구축하는 사업이며, 시는 지난 2월 행정안전부가 주관하는 공모사업에 선정돼 국비 7억 원을 확보하고 총사업비 14억 원을 투입해 원도심 노후 건물과 교량을 대상으로 시스템을 구축할 계획이고 오는 6월에 현장실사를 거쳐 구체적인 대상 시설을 선정하고 오는 12월에 준공할 예정이며 이번 사업으로 원도심 시장 일대의 30년 이상 된 상업시설 건축물 중 일부와 노후 교량에 IoT 센서를 부착하고, 진동·기울기·균열 등 정보를 실시간으로 관측할 수 있게 된다고 전했다.

원주시 관계자는 “IoT 기반 통합 재난정보관리 기반을 마련하게 되면 센서로부터 정기적으로 수집되는 정량적 데이터를 안전 점검에 활용할 수 있게 된다.”라며, “행정·재난·의료플랫폼 등과 연계해 새로운 부가서비스를 창출할 것으로 기대된다.”라고 말했다.
