전수조사 대상은 물놀이 관리지역 88개소와 위험지역 18개소에 설치된 인명구조함 62개, 구명조끼 4,935개, 이동식 거치대 122개, 구명환 184개 휴대용 인명구조장비와 물놀이 위험표지판 208개 등의 시설물이며, 점검 결과 노후장비는 본격적인 물놀이 시작 전인 5월 중 교체·정비할 계획이라고 전했다.

앞서 군은 행정안전부에서 주관하는 여름철 물놀이 안전관리 추진실적 평가에서 4년 연속 대통령상을 수상하며, 최우수 기관에 선정되는 영광을 안았고, 올해에도 여름철 물놀이 안전사고 제로화 목표 달성을 통해 최우수 기관에 도전할 계획이라고 했다.
