[김준호 기자 = 강원남부] 동해해양경찰서(서장 최시영)는 2023년 새해를 맞아 많은 인파가 동해안 해맞이 명소를 찾을 것으로 예상됨에 따라 연안사고 예방을 위해 해맞이 안전관리 강화한다고 밝혔다.

동해해경에 따르면 12월 29일~31일까지 파출소 관내 방파제, 갯바위 등 안전시설물(인명구조함, 안전펜스 등) 점검 및 안전운항을 위한 어선 및 레저기구 조종자 대상 사전 안전계도 실시 할 예정이다.

23년 1월 1일 오전 6시부터 항포구, 갯바위 등 주요 해맞이 명소 및 방파제 인근에 경찰관 80여명과 경비함정, 연안구조정 등 장비 18척을 배치하여 현장 안전관리를 강화할 예정이다.

동해해경 관계자는 “해맞이객이 증가할 것으로 예상되며, 해맞이객의 안전사고 예방을 위해 안전관리에 최선을 다할 것이다.”라고 전했다.

According to the Donghae Coast Guard, from December 29th to 31st, safety facilities (lifeguards, safety fences, etc.) inspections such as breakwaters and seashore rocks within the jurisdiction of the police box will be conducted, as well as prior safety guidance for pilots of fishing boats and leisure equipment for safe navigation.

From 6:00 am on January 1, 2023, 80 police officers and 18 equipment such as guard ships and coastal rescue boats will be deployed near major sunrise spots such as Hangpogu and Gaetbawi and breakwaters to strengthen site safety management.

An official from the Donghae Coast Guard said, “We expect that the number of visitors will increase, and we will do our best in safety management to prevent safety accidents for our guests.”
