가평소방서에 따르면 “화재는 창문틀에 있던 에어컨 실외기에서 발생한 것으로 추정되며, 화재를 목격한 이웃 주민의 소화기를 사용한 초기 대처와 대원들의 신속한 화재진압이 이루어져 인명피해 없이 화재가 진압되었다”라고 밝혔다.
