이날 위문은 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 방역수칙에 따라 실내위문은 자제하고 시설 외부에서 간접적으로 위문품(과일 34박스, 떡 37박스)을 전달했다고 했다.

김기하 의장은 “끝이 보이지 않는 코로로나19로 모두가 어려운 시기이지만 시설 관계자들의 노고로 시설입소자들이 위안을 얻을 수 있어 다행스럽게 생각한다”며 “동해시의회는 앞으로도 나눔문화 확산뿐만 아니라 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 세심한 복지 정책을 마련하는 데에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 의회는 해마다 설과 추석을 앞두고 소외 계층 지원과 나눔 문화 확산을 위해 복지시설 위문을 실시하고 있다고 전했다.
