[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 1월 20일 원주시가 원주사랑상품권을 20억 원 추가 발행한다고 밝혔다.

원주시는 1월 초 발행한 30억 규모의 상품권이 모두 판매된 상황에서 설 명절을 앞두고 지역 경기 활성화를 위해 상품권을 추가 발행하기로 했다고 전했다.

오는 1월 20일 10시부터 10% 선할인 된 금액으로 구매할 수 있으며, 종전 30만 원이던 월 구매 한도가 50만 원으로 늘어나면서 1월 한도를 채운 기존 구매자들도 추가 구매할 수 있게 됐다고 했다.

지역상품권 앱 ‘착(chak)’을 설치하면 온라인 카드 신청은 물론 상품권 구매(충전)도 가능하며, 앱 설치가 어려우면 농협·우리은행·우체국을 방문해 직접 발급받을 수 있다고 했다.

한편 원주시는 올해 원주사랑상품권에 QR 결제 방식 시스템을 도입해 이용자의 편의 증진은 물론 가맹점 매출액 증대에도 이바지한다는 방침이며, 현재 기존 가맹점을 중심으로 QR 결제 시스템 설치를 확대해 나가고 있다고 전했다.

이병철 경제진흥과장은 “올해 발행 목표액이 작년의 4배 규모인 600억 원에 이르는 만큼 소상공인 자영업자에게 더 큰 도움이 될 것이다.”라며, “지역 경기를 활성화하고 많은 시민에게 혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
