[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2021년 횡성군은 16개 공모사업에 선정돼 각종 주요 사업의 추진동력을 확보하였다고 밝혔다. 

2021년 횡성군이 신청한 공모사업은 20개 사업으로 그중 16개 사업이 선정되었고, 주요 사업으로는 산림 녹지과의 '횡성목재문화체험장 조성사업', '횡성 선도산림경영단지 조성사업'과 건설과의 '국도42호선 우천 쇠목문화 복합쉼터 사업', 교육복지과의 '2022년 청소년 시설 확충 사업'등이 있으며 총 272.6억 원(국도비 195.3억원)의 사업비를 확보하였으며, 특히 주민 요구도가 높은 네덜란드 테마마을 조성과 연계된 '우천 쇠목문화 복합쉼터 조성사업'과 횡성 문화복합단지 내에 조성되는 '횡성 목재문화체험장 조성사업', 횡성루지 체험장과 연계한 '횡성루지웰컴센터 조성'등의 공모 선정으로 핵심사업 추진을 위한 동력을 확보하였다는 측면에서 긍정적인 평가를 얻고 있다고 했다.

한편, 군은 지난 2019년 횡성군의회에서 발의하여 전국 최초로 제정하고 시행 중인 '횡성군 공모사업 관리조례'에 따라 공모사업 관리에 만전을 기하고 있으며, 특히, 2021년 공모사업 신청 전 사업의 적법성, 타당성을 검토하고 주민협의와 예산부서 협조를 거쳐 10억 이상 공모사업을 의회에 보고하였다고 전했다.
