[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 27일 포천시 청소년참여위원회가 2021년 경기도청소년참여위원회 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

경기도는 청소년 정책의 실효성 제고와 청소년의 정책참여 활성화를 위해 31개 시군구를 대상으로 경기도 청소년참여위원회 우수기관을 선정했으며, 포천시는 교육지원청 연계 및 정책역량 강화교육, 청소년의 주도적인 정책활동 등에서 높은 평가를 받아 우수기관으로 선정되는 명예를 안았다고 했다.

포천시청소년참여위원회는 청소년의 정책참여에 대한 인식의 전환을 위해 ‘청소년도 참여하는 시민입니다’라는 주제로 지난 6월부터 10월까지 청소년 정책 공모전과 정책교육 컨설팅 등을 운영했으며, 또한 공모전에서 선정된 7개 정책과 포천시 청소년참여위원회가 제안한 1가지 정책 등 총 8개 정책을 청소년들이 직접 제안하는 청소년 정책제안대회를 개최하기도 했다고 전했다.

포천시 청소년참여위원회 위원장인 강서인(송우고) 학생은 “포천시 청소년참여위원회가 관내 청소년의 정책 참여를 독려하기 위해 활동한 노력이 결실을 맺게 되어 매우 기쁘다. 앞으로도 지역사회에서 청소년도 시민으로서 책임감을 갖고 정책 참여 및 권리증진에 더욱 앞장서겠다.”라고 말했다.
