징수과 전 직원으로 구성된 특별 영치반은 차량이 많은 주택가, 아파트단지, 다중밀집지역 등을 순회하면서 주간 및 야간영치 활동을 할 계획이라고 전했다.

의정부시 관계자는 “체납 차량에 대한 자동차 번호판 영치는 연중 상시로 이뤄지며, 번호판 없이 차량을 운행하다 적발되면 100만 원 이하의 과태료까지 부과되니, 불이익이 없도록 사전에 체납액을 확인하고 서둘러 납부해 줄 것을 당부한다”고 밝혔다.
