[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 2일 의정부시는 한국주택금융공사 서울북부지사에서 의정부시청을 방문하여 성금 300만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

한국주택금융공사는 2004년 3월 출범한 공기업으로 보금자리론과 적격대출, 주택보증, 주택연금 공급 등의 업무를 수행하며 국민의 복지증진과 국민경제의 발전에 이바지하고 있고, 이날 성금 전달식은 복지국장실에서 열렸으며 강승호 주택연금팀장 등 관계자 3명이 참석했다고 전했다.

강승호 팀장은 “100일간 사랑릴레이 배턴 잇기가 시작되었다는 소식을 듣고 의정부시의 어려운 이웃들이 따뜻한 연말을 보내길 바라는 마음으로 기탁을 하게 되었다.”고 말했다. 

윤교찬 복지국장은 “의정부시민을 위해 해마다 잊지 않고 찾아주셔서 감사드리며 뜻깊은 성금은 소외계층분들에게 잘 전달될 수 있도록 하겠다.”고 밝혔다.

서울북부지사는 2016년부터 매년 의정부시에 성금을 기탁해 오고 있으며, 앞으로도 소외된 이웃에 대한 따뜻한 나눔의 문화가 확산될 수 있도록 사회공헌활동을 이어갈 예정이라고 밝혔다.
