[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 26일 양주시 회천3동은 지역사회보장협의체에서 마을복지지원사업 일환으로 ‘숲속의 하모니 체험’ 사업을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 평소 거동이 불편하여 관외 자연환경 체험에 어려움이 있던 어르신들에게 삼림욕을 하며 정서적 안정과 피로 해소 등의 기회를 제공하고자 마련되었는데, 특히 코로나19와 거동이 불편해 외출에 제약이 많았던 취약계층 어르신 16명을 대상으로 ‘국립양평치유의숲’에서 지팡이체조, 명상수련, 아로마 테라피 등을 진행했다고 전했다.

이번 체험에 참여한 어르신은 “숲의 수목에서 나오는 신선한 공기를 마시면서 건강해지고 피부가 좋아지는 것 같다”며 “차를 타고 가는 도중에도 단풍 구경과 함께 맛있는 점심을 먹어서 즐거운 하루였다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

협의체 박상임 위원은 “이번 숲 체험 나들이를 통해 어르신들에게 조금이나마 삶의 활력이 충전되었기를 바라며 즐거워하시는 모습을 보니 무척 보람을 느꼈다”고 전했다.
