이번 캠페인은 코로나19 확산으로 일회용품과 플라스틱의 무분별한 사용 증가가 심각한 환경문제로 부각되는 가운데 행정복지센터에 근무하는 직원들이 앞장서서 일회용품 사용량을 감축시켜 환경을 보호하고자 마련했다고 전했다. 

또한, 일회용품 사용을 최소화하기 위해 종이컵 대신 개인용 텀블러와 내방객을 위한 다회용 컵을 마련해 직원뿐만 아니라 방문하는 주민들에게 일상생활에서 함께 실천할 수 있는 참여를 유도할 예정이라고 했다.

김금숙 회천3동장은 “직원과 주민들이 환경문제를 인지하고 환경보호의 생활화가 이루어지길 기대한다”며 “앞으로도 일상생활 속 작은 실천을 통해 선한 영향력을 전파할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
