느린 우체통은 고모호수공원을 찾는 관광객들에게 감성과 힐링의 공간을 제공하자는 취지로 마련되었으며, 추억을 전하는 느린 우체통은 누구나 자유롭게 비치된 엽서에 하고 싶은 이야기, 고모호수공원에서 만든 추억거리 등의 사연을 적으면 된다고 했다.
