정보공개 종합평가는 외부평가단이 중앙행정기관, 지자체, 공공기관 등 593개 기관에 대해 지난해 정보공개 실적을 사전공개, 원문공개, 청구공개, 고객관리로 나누어서 평가하는 제도로, 포천시는 이 평가에서 226개 기초자치단체 중 86.32점을 받아 최우수 기관으로 선정됐으며, 사전정보, 원문공개, 청구처리, 고객관리 모든 분야에서 평균 대비 높은 점수를 획득하는 등 전체적으로 우수한 성과를 거두었다고 했다.

포천시 관계자는 “국민의 알권리를 증진하고 유용한 공공정보를 지속해서 투명하게 공개하여 더욱 신뢰받는 포천시가 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
