[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 18일 강원도가 식품의약품안전처 주관 식중독예방관리 평가에서 ‘최우수기관’으로 선정되어 기관표창 수상과 함께 포상금 7백만 원을 받았다고 밝혔다.

이번 평가는 식중독 발생관리율, 식중독 원인식품 규명율, 식중독 발생 신속 보고 비율, 식중독 모의훈련 참여도 식중독 예방 컨설팅 실적, 총 5개 지표(2020년 실적)에 걸쳐 심사평가가 종합적으로 실시됐다고 했다.

강원도는 시‧군간 상시 신속 대응 지원체계를 구축하여 식중독  발생 시 단계적 조치를 적극 전개했고, 식품접객업소 등 영업자 및 종사자 1,974명에게 식중독 예방 교육과 37,732건의 홍보활동,집단급식소 등 집중관리업소 2,205개소에 대해 식재료 검수부터 조리‧판매에 이르기까지 단계별 위생관리를 지도점검 하는 등  식중독 예방 및 저감화에 적극 노력했다고 했다.

그 결과, 도내 식중독 발생건수는 2019년 18건에서 2020년 6건으로 66.7% 감소, 환자수는 2019년 190명에서 2020년 58명으로 69.5% 대폭 감소한 점에 높은 평가를 받았다고 전했다.

유광열 보건위생정책과장은 “이번 최우수기관 표창 수상은 코로나19의 감염 확산이 지속되고 있는 상황에서도 그동안 식중독 예방에 적극 협조해 준 관련기관 및 도민 모두가 노력한 성과로 앞으로도 선제적인 위생관리를 통해 건강하고 안심할 수 있는 먹거리 환경조성을 위해 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

또한, 전국 기초자치단체 228개 시‧군‧구 대상으로 평가한 결과, 강릉시도 우수기관으로 선정되어 기관표창과 함께 포상금 1백만 원을 수상했다.
