[안종욱 기자 = 가평군] 지난 21일 경기도청에서 개최한 2022 경기마을공동체 한마당에서 ‘이웃사촌플러스’가 경기도 우수 활동사례 발표회에 참가해 ‘사랑마을상‘ 도지자상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.

이번 행사에는 이범주 설악면장, 김종성 군의원 및 주민 10여명이 참석하여 이웃마을과 연대와 협력으로 네트워크 활성화를 실천하는 '이웃사촌플러스' 연대 마을을 응원했다. 

경기도 우수사례로 선정되어 본선에 오른 ‘이웃사촌플러스’는 2022년 경기도 마을종합지원사업의 2022년 1년차 사업으로 선정됐으며, 3년 동안 공동체의 네트워크 확산과 더불어 공동체 활동을 위한 활동가 발굴과 함께 각 마을의 축제를 통한 가일2리, 묵안1,2리, 엄소리, 설곡리 5개 마을이 연대와 협업을 통한 공동체 간 네트워크 확장으로 지역사회의 자원을 연결하며 지역복지를 실천하는 사업으로 자리매김하고 있다.

한편, 발표자인 정진희 가일2리 기획사무장은 “마을종합지원사업으로 서로 다른 5개 마을이 연대하여 사업을 한다는 것에 대한 막연한 두려움이 지금은 가장 가까운 이웃사촌플러스가 든든한 서로의 조력자가 되고 있음을 실감하고 있으며, 5개 마을이 하나의 공동체가 되어 함께하니 5배의 결실을 볼 수 있었다”고 소감을 전했다.

가평군 관계자는 “마을 주민들이 공동체 활동의 자긍심과 공동체 활동에 대한 체감도를 높이고 주민이 행복할 수 있도록 공동체 활동의 확산에 많은 관심을 갖고 지원을 다 할 것”이라고 말했다.
