[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가 9일 속초농협 하나마트 엑스포점에서 아동학대 예방 및 위기 아동 발굴 사업의 일환으로 쇼핑카트 홍보판 전달식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 전달식에는 이병선 속초시장, 김명길 속초시의회의장, 속초농협 최원규 조합장, 박수경 하나로마트 엑스포점장이 참석하며, 직접 홍보판을 부착하고 마트 이용객을 대상으로 아동학대 예방 캠페인을 실시했다.

평소 지역주민 이용이 많고 지역사회 공익사업을 활발히 추진하고 있는 속초농협이 본 사업에 적극적인 동참 의사를 밝힘에 따라 하나로마트 엑스포점을 홍보장소로 선정하게 됐으며, 쇼핑카트 홍보판에는‘아동학대NO!’,‘사랑의 매, 절대금지’등의 문구와 아동학대 범위, 신고 방법 등의 내용이 있어 마트 이용객들이 자연스럽게 아동학대 인식개선 및 학대 의심 아동 발견에 관심을 가질 수 있도록 했다.

속초시 관계자는“아동학대 예방은 지역사회 모두가 관심을 갖고 함께 참여하는 것이 중요하다.”며, “시민들이 체감할 수 있는 다양한 방법으로 홍보활동을 계속해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
