[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 3월 2일, 동두천시는 시장실에서 NH농협은행 동두천시지부 이철현 지부장 등이 참석한 가운데 지난해 제휴카드 기금 총 5천520만 원에 대한 전달식을 가졌다고 전했다. 

이날 전달된 기금은 지난 한 해 동안 적립된 기금으로 동두천시청 법인카드 사용에 따른 기금 4,347만 원, 공무원 복지카드 사용에 따른 기금 727만 원, 보조금카드 사용에 따른 기금 446만 원 등 총 5천520만 원이며, 제휴카드 기금은 동두천시와 NH농협은행 동두천시지부가 협약을 맺고 법인카드, 공무원복지카드, 보조금카드 사용금액의 0.1∼0.5% 상당을 포인트로 적립하여 동두천시에 지원하고 있다. 2006년부터 현재까지 제휴카드 기금 발생 누계액은 4억8천6백만 원이라고 했다.

시 관계자는 “전달된 기금은 애향장학금 등으로 투명하고 소중하게 사용할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.

이철현 NH농협은행 동두천시지부장은 “농협은 시민들을 위한 금융상품과 서비스를 제공하고 더불어 농업인과 지역사회발전을 위한 노력을 지속할 것”이라고 말했다.

한편, 동두천시는 NH농협은행 동두천시지부를 지난 2021년 1월 1일부터 오는 2024년 12월 31일까지 4년간 동두천시 시금고 취급 금융기관으로 지정해 운영하고 있다고 했다.
