4월 21일 오전 11시에 개최된 제막식에는 가평소방서 직원들과 동우회 박호준 회장, 김찬영 사무총장, 김일환 이사 등이 참석했고, 재향소방동우회는 퇴직 소방공무원으로 구성된 단체로 회원 상호 간의 경험과 지식을 공유·발전시키고, 소방문화 선진화와 사회 공익 증진에 이바지함을 목적으로 하고 있다고 전했다.

이날 박호준 회장은 “소방조직의 과거와 미래가 모인 자리인 만큼 경기도와 가평군 소방안전과 발전에 헌신하겠다”라고 포부를 밝혔다.
