[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시는 저소득층 근로자 가구의 자립기반 조성을 위해 4월 자산형성 지원사업 희망저축계좌Ⅰ·Ⅱ 대상자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.

자산형성지원사업은 가입 기간 3년 동안 지속적으로 근로하고 매월 10만원 이상 저축하면 근로소득 장려금을 지원하는 사업이며, 희망저축계좌Ⅰ은 이달 20일까지, 희망저축계좌Ⅱ는 19일까지 주소지 동주민센터에서 신청할 수 있다고 했다.

희망저축계좌Ⅰ은 근로활동 중이며, 근로소득이나 사업소득이 있는 생계·의료급여 수급가구가 신청할 수 있고, 본인이 3년간 매월 10만 원을 저축하면 월 근로소득장려금 30만 원 적립으로 만기 시 1440만 원과 이자를 지원받게 되며, 다만 가입 후 3년 이내 탈수급해야 장려금 지급이 가능하다고 했다.

희망저축계좌Ⅱ는 근로활동 중이며, 근로소득이나 사업소득이 있는 주거·교육급여 수급가구 및 차상위계층 가구가 신청할 수 있고, 3년간 매월 10만 원을 저축하며 월 근로소득장려금 10만 원 적립으로 만기 시 720만 원과 이자를 지원받게 되며, 자립역량교육 및 사례관리를 의무적으로 이수하고 지원금 사용용도 증빙 시에 장려금 지급이 가능하다고 했다.

지원은 가구당 1회에 한해 가능하며, 저소득층을 대상으로 한 유사 자산형성지원사업에 참여 중이거나 과거에 이러한 사업의 혜택을 받은 가구는 중복참여가 불가하다고 했다.  

속초시 관계자는 “자산 축적을 통해 저소득 가정의 탈수급 및 자활자립을 할 수 있기를 바란다.” 라고 전했다.
