[안종욱 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 가평군은 미세먼지 저감과 탄소중립 실천을 위해 5등급 노후경유차를 대상으로 운행제한 단속을 추진한다고 밝혔다. 

우선 수도권 대도시에서 유입되는 노후경유차를 단속하기 위해 청평면 대성리 부근에서 오는 4월 18일부터 단속시스템(CCTV)을 운영할 예정으로, 단속기간은 고농도 미세먼지 비상저감조치 발령 시와 계절관리제 기간인 12월부터 3월까지, 단속 대상차량은 미세먼지 및 질소산화물이 다량 배출되는 5등급 노후경유차에 해당한다고 했다.

5등급 대상여부는 자동차 배출가스 누리집 홈페이지를 통해서  개인이 직접 확인할 수 있으며, 현재 가평군은 5등급 노후경유차의 소유주를 대상으로 개별 안내를 진행 중에 있고, 읍·면별 집중 안내를 동시에 실시하고 있다고 전했다.

가평군은 노후경유차 운행 감소를 적극 유도하여 미세먼지를 저감 하고 탄소중립을 실천함으로써 군민에게 보다 깨끗한 대기환경을 제공함은 물론, 살기 좋은 수도권의 대표 도시로 나아가는데 보탬이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다고 밝혔다.
