동두천 대학생봉사단은 2019년 활동을 시작하여, 지역행사 참여, 환경정화 활동 및 캠페인, 지역아동 멘토링, 코로나19 방역 등의 봉사활동을 진행해왔다고 했다.

이번에 선발되는 대학생 봉사단은 5월부터 12월까지 약 8개월 동안 활동하게 되며, 지역사회 나눔봉사, 탄소중립 실천, SNS 홍보활동 등을 진행할 예정이라고 말했다.

모집인원은 총 10명으로, 지원대상은 동두천시 거주하는 재학 또는 휴학 중인 대학생이라면 누구나 지원이 가능하며, 동두천 소재 대학교 재학생과 휴학생도 지원이 가능하다고 했다.
