[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 고성군은 친환경적인 농축산업 환경을 만들고자 농업기술센터에서 운영 중인 유용미생물 배양센터 생산 미생물을 지역 내 농업인에게 무상으로 공급하고 있다고 밝혔다.

고성군 유용미생물배양센터는 농업기술센터 내 위치하고 있으며, 건물 338.13㎡ 규모로 멸균배양기 1.5톤 3대, 0.5톤 1대를 갖추고 연간 300톤 정도의 유용미생물을 생산할 수 있으며, 현재 고초균, 유산균, 광합성 등 7종의 유용미생물을 연중 생산하고 있으며 지난해에는 291농가에 200톤을 공급한 바 있고, 2022년에도 200톤을 생산할 계획으로 2월까지 4톤을 생산할 계획이라고 전했다.

지난해 복합기능미생물 활용 생산성 증대 시범사업을 통하여 복합기능미생물(GH1-13)균 처리 시 고추의 작물생육 모니터링 및 생산량 조사 결과 정식후 처리보다 유묘 처리에 더 효과가 좋은 것으로 확인 되어지며, 대조구 대비 중량은 15.7%, 수량은 21.4% 증가한 것으로 확인되었다고 했다.

군 관계자는 “시범사업 이외 원예·특작, 축산 등 유용미생물 공급을 희망하는 농업인에게 지속적으로 공급하여 친환경농업 확대와 지역농산물 품질향상에 기여하고 축사악취 민원 감소에도 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대하고 있다.”며 지역 내 농가들이 유용미생물을 적극 활용해 줄 것을 당부했다.
