[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 임채철 의원과 함께 G-스포츠클럽 관련 시･군 체육회 사무국장과의 정담회를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 

정담회는 경기도 시군체육회 사무국장협의회 임원진과 학생건강과장 등 경기도교육청관계자가 참석한 가운데 진행됐다고 전했다. 

정윤경 위원장은 2018년부터 추진된 G-스포츠클럽이 스포츠 활동에 관심이 많은 학생과 학부모들로부터 많은 호응을 받고 있다며 관계자들을 격려했다고 전했다. 

정담회는 G-스포츠클럽 활성화를 위해 실무적인 운영을 담당하는 체육회의 애로 사항 청취와 이에 대한 경기도교육청의 입장과 개선사항 등을 자유롭게 논의하는 방식으로 진행됐다고 했다.

정수동 동두천시 체육회 사무국장은 G-스포츠클럽 사업의 지속적 추진과 지역별 균형있는 안배를 요청했으며, 박승규 사무국장은 경기도교육청의 예산지원에 대응하는 시군별 예산지원수준이 각기 다르고, 경기도청이 참여하지 않고 경기도교육청과 시･군이 1:1 매칭사업을 하고 있어, 시･군의 예산부담으로 사업을 추진할 수 없는 한계를 갖고 있다며, 기초자치단체의 재정부담을 완화하고 사업의 확대를 위해서는 경기도의 참여를 통한 안정적 사업추진이 필요하다고 말했다. 

정담회에서는 전임지도자 인건비에 대한 명확한 안내, 개인장비와 단체장비의 지원에 관한 구체적인 안내, 비인기 종목에 대한 지원방안 강구, G-스포츠클럽의 참여범위를 인접 시･군으로 확대, G-스포츠클럽의 원활한 운영을 위한 학교시설의 적극적 개방 등 다양한 현장의 의견이 표출됐다고 했다.

학생건강과장은 G-스포츠클럽과 관련하여 많은 역할을 하고 있는 체육회에 감사를 표하고 정담회에서 논의된 사항이 개선될 수 있도록 업무추진시 세심한 부분까지 챙길수 있도록 노력하겠다고 밝혔다.

정윤경 위원장은 군포시 G-스포츠클럽 소속 리듬체조 이예원 선수의 전국체전 금메달을 언급하며, 비인기 종목으로 운동장소가 부족한 가운데 뛰어난 결과를 만든것은 G-스포츠클럽의 나가야 할 방향이 무엇인지를 보여주는 것이라고 말했다. 

정 위원장은 많은 학생이 스포츠를 즐기는 분위기를 조성하고 관련사업의 확대와 안정성 확보를 위해 G-스포츠클럽 관련 학생 축제의 장을 만들자는 제안을 했으며, 또한 학교체육의 근간이 흔들리지 않아야 한다며 엘리트 선수에 대한 적극적인 발굴과 지원을 함께 요청하며 정담회를 마쳤다.
