[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기도의회 교육기획위원장인 정윤경 의원은 경기도의회 군포상담소에서 경기도시각장애인협회 군포시지회 이진원 회장과 차량 행정도우미 지원에 관한 정담회를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 이진원 회장은 “회원이 시각장애인이라 운전이 불가능해 운전도우미 없이는 차량 사용에 많은 불편이 있고 센터에서 운영하는 기초재활학교에 참여하는 시각장애인들의 이동을 위해서는 차량 행정도우미 지원이 절실히 필요하다.”라고 호소했다. 또한 “그동안 코로나19로 야외활동 어려워 시각장애인들이 많이 지쳐 있다.”라며 야외활동을 할 수 있는 방법이 없는지 도움을 요청했다.

이에 정윤경 위원장은 “시각장애인들은 차량이 있어도 운전할 수 있는 인력이 필요함을 충분히 공감한다.”며 “차량 행정도우미 지원은 도의회 차원에서 방법을 찾아보겠다.”고 의견을 전했다. 이어 “농촌체험 문화활동 등 공모사업을 통해 코로나19로 비장애인보다 더 많은 애로사항으로 지쳐있을 시각장애인들의 삶의 질이 향상될 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 밝혔다.
