[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 2월 10일, 홍천군은 ‘홍천군 스마트도시 기본계획 수립 용역’ 착수 보고회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

홍천군이 똑똑한 홍천형 스마트도시계획 수립에 박차를 가하고 있고, 군은 정부의 스마트도시 정책에 적극적으로 부응하고 군에 특화된 도시문제 해결을 위해 스마트도시계획을 수립하고 있으며, 용역 완료시 강원도 군 단위 최초로 스마트도시계획을 수립하게 된다고 했다.

용역을 통해 도시 문제점을 분석하고 관련 이해관계자의 수요와 욕구를 파악, 향후 5개년 스마트도시계획을 수립하게 되고, 용역은 대영유비텍(주)가 맡아 오는 4월 26일까지 진행한다고 전했다.

중점 과제는 '홍천군 스마트도시 비전 및 중장기 발전 로드맵 수립', '홍천 특화형 스마트시티 전략사업 발굴', '스마트도시 추진전략 및 단계별 이행과제 선정' 등이라고 했다.

군은 이번 스마트도시계획 수립 과정에서 공무원 인터뷰, 설문조사, 전문가 자문 등을 통해 다양하고 폭넓은 의견을 교환·수렴할 예정이며, 2022년 중 국토교통부 승인 신청을 계획하고 있다고 전했다.

한편 군은 앞서 지난해 ‘스마트도시협의체’를 출범하고 민·관이 함께 우선적으로 해결해야 할 도시문제를 발굴한 바 있으며, 발굴된 문제들도 계획 수립시 반영 예정이고, 또 스마트도시 역량 강화 교육프로그램 시행과 스마트도시계획 수립을 적극 추진하며 스마트도시로의 전환 과정을 단계적으로 밟아가고 있어, 이에 발맞춰 국비 스마트도시 공모사업에도 적극 지원할 계획이라고 했다. 

허필홍 홍천군수는 “홍천군은 지자체 중 가장 넓은 면적을 차지하고 있어 물리적 인프라 확대보다는 스마트 기술과 서비스를 활용해 도시 문제를 해결하는 것이 적합한 곳”이라며 “이번 계획 수립으로 전반적인 정주여건을 개선하고 지역경제를 살리는 로드맵을 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
