[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 개최한 경기실버국악제 전국경연대회에서 포천시노인복지관 사물놀이 동아리 실버농악단이 장려상을 수상했다고 밝혔다. 

60세 이상 어르신 20명으로 구성되어 있는 실버농악단은 이번 대회에서 웃다리 사물놀이를 태평소와 접목해 수준 높은 작품을 선보였다고 했다. 

대회가 비대면으로 진행됨에 따라 상장과 수상금 전달은 지난 10월 27일 복지관에서 소규모로 진행됐으며, 실버농악단은 장려상 수상금으로 받은 20만원을 포천시 어르신들을 위해 사용해달라며 포천시노인복지관에 전달해 훈훈함을 더했다고 전했다.

대회에 참가한 한 어르신은 “코로나19로 많은 공연과 경연대회가 위축된 가운데 오랜만에 동아리 회원들과 함께해 즐거웠다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

이종범 관장은 “어려운 상황 속에서도 대회를 위해 노력하신 실버농악단에 감사드린다. 복지관은 언제나 어르신들의 여가 활동을 위해 함께 하겠으며, 앞으로도 노인 문화, 예술 활동을 위해 더욱 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다.
