[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 의정부시 안병용 시장은 코로나19 위기극복 및 경제·사회구조 변화 대응을 위한 한국판 뉴딜종합계획 및 지역균형 뉴딜 추진방안에 기반한 의정부시 여건에 맞는 지역균형 뉴딜사업을 발굴·추진해 침체된 지역경제를 활성화시켜 나갈 계획이라고 밝혔다. 

시는 ‘100년의 미래를 설계하고 선도하는 의정부형 뉴딜’을 비전으로 디지털뉴딜, 그린 뉴딜, 안전망 강화 뉴딜 등 분야별 정책과 추진전략을 수립해 지난 3월30일 보고회를 개최했고, 의정부시는 황범순 의정부시 부시장을 단장으로 의정부형 지역균형 뉴딜 추진단을 구성하고 참여대상 공모사업 응모와 주민이 체감할 수 있는 지역특성에 맞는 신규사업 발굴을 위해 총력을 다할 방침이라고 했다.

'SOC 인프라 디지털화 및 언텍트 환경조성을 위한 디지털뉴딜'은 코로나19 이전 세계경제의 큰 화두였던 4차 산업혁명 중 코로나19로 인해 온라인 소비, 원격근무 등 디지털을 통한 비대면화 확산으로 디지털 전환이 가속화됨에 따라 포스트코로나 시대 대응을 위한 것으로, 시민생활과 밀접한 데이터 플랫폼 구축 등 스마트시스템 강화, 교통·물류 등 SOC 인프라 디지털화, 감염병 관리 등 지역 의료여건 개선을 위한 스마트 의료 인프라 구축, 포스트코로나 시대를 대비한 언택트 환경 조성을 주요 과제로 첨단 정보통신 기술을 통한 스마트 인프라 구축으로 시민들이 편리하고 안전하게 생활할 수 있는 의정부를 만들 계획이라고 했다.
