[장선희 기자 = 경기북부] 6월 29일 의정부시 안병용 시장은 경기연구원 의정부시 통합이전 확정에 따라 경기도 공공기관 제3차 이전 협약식을 통해 경기연구원 이전 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식은 이재명 경기도지사와 안병용 의정부시장, 이한주 경기연구원장 등이 참석해 경기연구원 의정부시 통합 이전을 위한 상호협력을 다짐하고 경기도-의정부시-경기연구원 간 원활한 이전 업무추진을 위한 우호증진 및 상생발전을 위해 적극 협력할 것을 약속했다고 말했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “특별한 희생에는 특별한 보상이라는 기치하에 공정한 경기도를 만들어가는 이재명 경기도지사님의 결정에 경기북부 주민들의 간절한 염원을 담아 감사드린다”라며 “경기연구원이 경기도를 넘어 대한민국 최고의 연구원으로 도약하길 기대하며, 쾌적한 환경과 안정적인 여건을 갖출 수 있도록 시 차원에서의 노력을 다할 것”이라고 밝혔다.

한편, 의정부시는 경기연구원 의정부시 통합 이전 확정에 따른 원활한 업무추진을 위해 황범순 부시장을 추진단장으로 경기연구원 이전 추진단 TF팀을 구성했다고 전했다.
