[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 원주시 육아종합지원센터가 올해 신규사업으로 진행한 어린이집 보육 교직원 안전교육이 최근 모두 마무리됐다고 전했다. 

이번 교육은 「어린이안전관리에 관한 법률」 시행으로 어린이집 보육 교직원은 응급처치교육(이론 2시간, 실습 2시간 이상)을 포함한 안전교육을 매년 4시간 이상 의무적으로 이수해야 함에 따라 이를 지원하기 위해 추진됐다고 했다.

지난 5월부터 총 1,407명이 교육을 이수해 원주시 보육 교직원 중 77% 이상이 참여하는 성과를 거둔 가운데, 교직원뿐만 아니라 부모님을 대상으로도 안전교육을 실시해 가정에서 영유아 응급상황 발생 시 침착하고 올바르게 대처할 수 있도록 했다고 전했다.

특히, 원주소방서를 비롯해 원주소방서 혁신119안전센터 소속 원주남성의용소방대, 한림대학교 춘천성심병원 권역 응급 의료센터, 에스원 사회공원팀 등 지역사회 기관과 함께해 의미를 더했다고 했다. 

지역의 육아 지원을 위한 거점기관으로써 안심보육환경 조성에 앞장서고 있는 원주시 육아종합지원센터는 앞으로 매년 교육을 실시해 아이들의 생명과 신체에 대한 위험 예방 및 안전 확보를 통해 어린이가 행복하고 건강한 삶을 누릴 수 있도록 힘쓸 계획이라고 했다.
