[남상훈 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 속초시가족센터는 결혼이민자의 일자리 지원사업의 일환으로 운전면허취득 지원사업 '다함께 차!차!차!' 프로그램 참여자를 모집한다고 전했다.

운전면허취득 지원사업은 지난 2019년부터 매년 10명을 모집하여 2019년 8명, 2020년 9명, 2021년 10명이 운전면허 취득을 하여 다문화가정의 한국생활의 안정적 정착에 많은 기여를 하였다고 했다.

본 사업은 4월부터 오는 10월까지 진행될 예정이며, 다양한 언어를 사용하는 이민자들을 위해 베트남어, 영어, 중국어, 한국어 교재 지원으로 운전면허 학과시험을 보다 쉽고, 정확하게 이해하고 취득할 수 있도록 하고 학과시험 준비부터 운전면허 취득 시까지 지원한다고 했다.

최종구센터장은 결혼이민자가 “운전면허를 취득함으로써 한국생활의 적응력을 높이고 지역사회에서 활동영역 확대로, 성취감 향상 및 자긍심이 높아졌다고 전하며, 향후 다양한 가정의 생활여건에 맞는 가족서비스 향상 지원에 더욱 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다.
